Terms & Conditions

Last updated: February 8, 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the JSON Copilot website, tools, and services (the "Service"), provided by Cardamon Inc ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing, registering for, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

You may use JSON Copilot for personal or commercial projects, subject to these Terms. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You are responsible for ensuring that your use complies with all applicable laws and any contractual obligations you may have.

2. Accounts

Certain features require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are inactive for an extended period, or are used for fraudulent or abusive purposes, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

3. Processing of JSON

JSON Copilot processes core JSON operations (formatting, validation, minification, schema checking) locally in your browser. AI-powered features send your JSON to our servers for processing, and project data and AI history are stored on our servers. You are responsible for ensuring that you do not expose confidential, sensitive, or regulated data through AI features or saved projects where such use is prohibited by law or your own obligations.

4. Subscriptions and billing

JSON Copilot offers free and paid subscription plans, as well as one-time credit pack purchases. Paid services are billed through our payment partner, Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. Paddle handles payment processing, invoicing, sales tax, and VAT on our behalf.

  • Subscriptions: Paid plans are billed on a recurring monthly basis and automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
  • Subscription credits: Each paid plan includes a monthly credit allocation for AI-powered features. Subscription credits reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over to the next period. Unused subscription credits from the previous billing period are forfeited when new credits are issued.
  • Credit packs: One-time credit pack purchases are processed through Paddle. Purchased credits are added to a separate balance that persists across billing cycles. Purchased credits expire 6 months from the date of purchase.
  • Credit usage order: When you use AI-powered features, subscription credits are consumed first. Purchased credits are only used after subscription credits are exhausted.
  • General credit terms: Credits do not carry monetary value and are non-transferable. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded except as provided in our Refund Policy.
  • Price changes: We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. For active subscribers, price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle following notice.
  • Taxes: All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Paddle will collect and remit taxes as required by law.

By purchasing a subscription or credit pack, you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Service and Paddle's Privacy Policy.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy.

6. Intellectual property

All content, design, code, trademarks, and other materials comprising JSON Copilot are owned by or licensed to Cardamon Inc and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of any JSON content you input into the Service. By using AI-powered features, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content or AI-generated outputs.

7. AI-generated output

AI-powered features produce output using third-party AI models. This output is provided for informational and convenience purposes only. We do not guarantee that AI output is accurate, complete, error-free, or suitable for any specific purpose. You are solely responsible for reviewing and validating any AI-generated output before relying on it.

8. No warranties

JSON Copilot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or that it will meet your specific requirements.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cardamon Inc, its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, revenue, business, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, JSON Copilot, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty US dollars ($50), whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cardamon Inc and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit to the Service.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
  • Any unused credits are forfeited and have no cash value
  • We may delete your account data after a reasonable retention period (see our Privacy Policy)
  • Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including liability limitations, indemnification, and governing law) will remain in effect

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@cardamon.org or through your account settings.

13. Third-party services and ads

We may display advertisements (such as Google AdSense) and integrate third-party services. Your interactions with those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or availability of third-party services.

14. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of JSON Copilot at any time without prior notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where practicable, provide notice through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
